Where did we come from? Who are we really? These are questions we have to answer to avoid moving forward deaf, dumb and blind. History is not simply a matter of dates and names. It is the telling of the single most important story of human development.

How did we come to be living in cities if we started out as wanderers? Was it actually an improvement? Is their such a thig as progress? All the things we think today came from somewhere. As Islamic historians, it is our duty to uncover that reality. All we are doing is finding the same path as the many believers before us, the path fo Truth.
